ME Lyrics by Frank Edwards

TV Presenter Speaking

[Verse 1]
Time is, running out right now
The Ones who believe seem like they don’t believe no more

The world is, breaking up right now
People of the world crying out saying “Where do we go?”

Brothers killing brothers
Nations fighting Nations
The Ones who use to call Your Name now calling other names

But as for me
Me and my House
We will worship You Jehovah till the end

(Talking about me)
Me.. Me.. Me.. Me…
I just love to love You more
With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

Me.. Me.. Me.. Me…
I just love to love You more
With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

[Verse 2]
Your Name is Holy
Your Name is Jesus
You are the answer for the world today
You reign supreme
You rule in every nation
You reign in me
I’m the light of the world

Wherever You send me, I will go
You are the Pilot of my life
I just want to let You know, I’m sold out to You

And it doesn’t matter
What the world may say
As for me, I will worship You

Me.. Me.. Me.. Me…
I just love to love You more
With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

Me.. Me.. Me.. Me…
I just love to love You more
With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

Me.. Me.. Me.. Me…
I just love to love You more
With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

Me.. Me.. Me.. Me…
I just love to love You more
With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

With My Spirit and my soul
I Just love to bless Your Name

I Just love to bless Your Name
I Just love to bless Your Name…

We are coping – Tagoe Sisters

Gospel music group, Tagoe Sisters, have opened up about how the novel coronavirus has affected their music business since the first case was reported in the country.

According to them, they had series of programmes lined up that they had to attend to but unfortunately they had to cancel them at the dying minute due to the respiratory disease affecting many across the globe.
Speaking to Joy News, one of the sisters said:

This pandemic, nobody knew that thing was coming; It just came. But as song ministers it wasn’t easy because we had programmes that we had to attend and people invited us for their programmes but because this thing came we all had to stay home so the activities went down the carpet.

We have been trying to cope and we don’t know how to fight it. We are obeying the instructions of the president. It takes God’s grace, hence we have been praying and performing on live shows. It is all part of what we are doing to keep ourselves going.

Top Ghanaian gospel musician to soon graduate as medical doctor

Gospel musician, Philipa Baafi, has hinted of her graduation anytime soon as a medical doctor after her long absence from the music scene.

According to her, being a medical doctor was a longtime ambition since childhood, hence her intention to go for what her heart desired.
“At a point I thought of going back to pursue that childhood dream in order to assist mankind. So thanks to God I’m on course and very soon I will become a fully fledged medical doctor that’s why I was missing from the music scene,” she announced.
Speaking in an interview on GBC Radio Central, she explained that accounted for her unannounced disappearance from the music scene.

“It is not true that marriage and childbirth made me leave the music scene. I went back to school to continue my ambition to become a medical doctor,” she said.

The ‘Go High’ hitmaker stressed as part of her passion drive, she already has a foundation that helps to supply free medicine to the sick, needy and poor in society.

I still wash my husband’s underwear – Cynthia of Daughters of Glorious Jesus

Cynthia Agyare Appeadu, the Lead singer of the renowned gospel group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, has disclosed that in her home, she performs all her duties as a wife, including washing her husband’s underwear.

In a phone conversation with Dr Cann on Showbiz Xtra which airs every Saturday morning on Happy 98.9FM she unveiled that when she is in her matrimonial home, there is no such thing as her husband being suppressed because she is a celebrity.

Speaking for herself and her sisters, Mrs Appeadu said, “when we are home, we are wives. We put the celebrity life aside and perform our marital duties.”

She furthered said “If you come to my house, I do everything. Since my husband and I got married till date I have been washing his singlets, boxers and all his underwear.”

She opined that in their matrimonial homes, celebrities must perform their responsibilities as wives and by so doing, there will be no problems in the marriage.

Gospel artiste Philipa Baafi returns with ‘It is Well’ on her 40th birthday

Gospel musician Philipa Baafi is forty (40) years today, as and part of launching her comeback into the music space after a hiatus, she has released a new song titled ‘It Is Well.’

This track is taken off her forthcoming 10th studio album for release next year.

According to Philipa, she wrote this single primarily to encourage the downhearted, disappointed and downtrodden in society to be able to turn their negativity into positive confessions and jubilant celebration.

She also explained that the inspiration behind this song is the posture displayed by the Shunamite woman in II Kings 4. Although this woman knew her son was dead she did not admit it but rather she exclaimed that ‘it is well’ to her husband, to Gehazi, the prophet Elisha’s servant and to everyone else until she came into contact with the prophet of God.

Recording her first-ever solo album about two (2) decades ago, this single finds Philipa at the peak of her artistry.

The track which was first recorded by Akaak was finally mixed and mastered by celebrated music producer Sammy Helwani.

She has several major hits over the years and this includes songs such as ‘Go High’, ‘I Go Dance’, ‘Nkwa’, ‘Last Stop’, ‘Awurade Sore’, ‘Nhyira Ba’, ‘Me Gye Medin’, ‘Ebenezer’, among others.

She has touched millions across the globe with inspirational songs and performances everywhere.

Outside of music, Philipa Baafi, who is an Occupational Therapist, is a third-year Physician Assistant student at Radford University in Accra. Her ambition is to become a specialist gynaecologist.

She is a member of the Church of Pentecost and fellowships with the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), West Hills Assembly with her husband Kwame, and their two kids, Adom and Sika.

E. P. Church reaches out to congregation through technology

Dela Cathedral, Ho, headquarters of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, on Friday led its members to observe the Passion of Christ and the partaking of the Last Supper via technology.

Various parishes led their congregations via Aseye TV through Facebook to hold church services and partake in the holy communion of the breaking of bread and the drinking of wine. The bread and wine signify the body and blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for the redemption of sin on Good Friday.

Members of the congregations were expected to break their own bread and drink their own wine from their own homes during the lockdown in Accra and Kumasi, the two main cities where the outbreak of COVID-19 was more pronounced, as they were led by their reverend ministers, via the Aseye TV.

However the Makafui Congregation of Agortome in Ho, a faith-based institution adopted another innovative measure to reach out to their congregations also through the use of another technology.

Reverend Dickson Asante, Parish Pastor of the Makafui Church and his team on Good Friday chose the Ho Leprosarium Community Public address system to preach the message to the catchment area of about 2,500 people in compliance with the social distancing protocols, one of the measures to contain the pandemic.

Rev. Asante said the Coronavirus pandemic battle would come to an end and mankind would triumph again.

But Christians, he said, needed to draw more nearer to Jesus Christ and abide by principles ascribed in the commandments for expedited manifestation.
He said by Christ saying: “It is Finished”, when on the Cross; it denotes full payment of debts as a people, He never owed.

Rev. Asante said a cry out to Jesus Christ in the era of a global pandemic was necessary to invoke His mercy and heal the land.

He said Christians must identify themselves with Christ on the Cross as a sign of “Dying with the Lord” through suffering under excruciating pain, cruel death, torture, and crucifixion.

Rev. Asante said Christ came to protect mankind but he was betrayed and killed. But his death was for the redemption of mankind.

He therefore exhorted Christians to change from their wicked ways, by the changing of hearts, and invoke spiritual intervention in eliminating the pandemic.
